First Showers!

As the
Fragrance of wet sand
storms gently into my bronchi
and settles invisible layer by visible layer
lung by lung,

and gentle whiffs of strong air brush past me,
the past passes me

and

night daisy
like night rain
flowers at a pace,
jogs me down
memory lane,

when once i was
right there
in the middle of nowhere
reminding me
where i am
in the middle of nowhere

between
me, u and nothingness!

Its B for Bangalore!

Its now been a week in Blore and god alone knows how time flies here...Of course working 5.5 days a week is a great explanation to the aforementioned phenomenon but thats jus half the story...

What have I managed already?
1. Adigas Masala Dosa - S U P E R L A T I V E - whatay dosa I say....brown crust coated with red garlic chutney and the aloo palya filling garnished with the 'benne'....man o man whatay creation!
2. Barista Hazelnut Mocha - Tasty, Yummy, chocolate topping n all that....overpriced at Rs.84 but worth having once in a while!
3. New Shanti Sagar North Indian Mini Meal - Whoa! Great Spread, great volumes and most important - Great taste!! Must have at least once in a fortnight!
4. Davangere Benne Dose - Its the Benne - that makes all the difference....dripping in butter....need I say more???
5. The inimitable capsicum and chilli bonda - Yeah so there's a shop abt 5 min away from my place that makes these awesome bondas....earlier I had to go all the way to Malleswaram to get it....but now my prayers have been hearddddddddddddddd :D....
6. Krishna Sweets Samosa - 6 bucks and almost 6 inches....this is a living example of all that v study as 'value' and 'value creation' in MBA...this embodies marketing, finance, strategy and org behaviour for me....
7. My beloved Yelneeru - tender coconut water - Mumbai mey aisa kuch nahi milta....
8. Last but not, definitely not the least ---the one and the only.............
FILTER COFFEE - what the heck! I mean just what the heck do they mix in to make this....bangalore coffee ROCKS 200%!!

Never mind the bad cold I have, all the sneezing, the dust, the incessant cough....sab ek taraf and this city ek taraf...I mean anything for Bangalore.....Kuch Bhi Yaar….

THIS CITY HAS ITS OWN UNMISTAKABLE FRAGRANCE ...Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Welcome home A!!! :D

Cross Over!

Rivers and their tributaries -
branch out yet stay connected.

As you dive in from one end
and yearn to reach the other,
sometimes,
if not all the time,
you don't want to achieve what you set out to -
you'd rather
swim, float, wiggle,
butt in and out of water,
rest on some (nearby) rocky terrain
before making your way right back in.

Sometimes,
if not all the time,
its mighty hard to let go of
the road
once you reach the destination.

Filthy Hitch!

Just run ur fingers around any newspaper and its unlikely that you wont find an article on the game of cricket....
Now, this country called India is frenzied. And it fanaticises this 'gentleman's game'.
Lets look at some key statistics:
1. I dont get the TV 9/10 times at home when there's an IPL match going on
2. In 0/10000000000 cases, I find a laptop in my vicinity that does not display cricket scores on any given day
3. There's no way I can get past browsing a TV channel for 10 min without laying my eyes on a cricketer (often awful looking!)
4. Out of at least 15 friends I have, only 3-4 are not cricket lovers. And perhaps in this mileu, I'm the only staunch cricket disliker!

So why should we not, at any cost, like this game or whatever it is? Why is it hazardous to human existence? How will its annihilation eradicate world problems? Read on and you will know:

5 reasons to stay away from this muck cald bat and ball and white, blue shirted rogues:

5. World Peace - The world's at peace when its pieces are in harmony. Now, if all human beings in the world watch cricket, and each one supports a given team, and within that each has his/her favourite player(s), there's bound to be conflict, hatred, anger and wrath among individuals. So, say bye to cricket and support world peace!

4. Balanced channel development - On the days that cricket matches are telecast, nobody watches other television programs. There is an unfair distribution of wealth in the hands of the 'Cricmighty' and this leads to skewed development of the nation/world.

3. Complete usage of the dictionary - Now, this is important. Cricketers coin words that dont fit into the dictionary and hence cannot help in vocabulary development. How u ask? Well, they only say things like a********, b*******, c******, d*******.....undecipherable (ahem!). This is also a serious threat to the future of India (my children!!??)

4. Solid waste management - Cricketers are:
a. Gross
b. Smelly
c. Filthy (among others)
Have you ever watched a game closely. I have (I've had to a coupla times) and hence I know that in no other corner of the world will you see so much spit/saliva being rubbed off on an inanimate object. Wait! There's sweat also from the forehead. And then there's saliva again.....To top it, they spit on the field and then they chew those gross gums and spit them again.... and again and again.....yesss thats a vicious circle....one thats unmistakably filthy. They hug their sweaty teammates at the drop of a hat and believe it or not even share abdomen guards (this is 100% authentic info!).
So would it do nature and mother earth a great deal of good if cricket was wiped off its existence? I dare say yes!

1. Minority Right Protection - I, 'A', hereby cross my heart and pledge that if my rights are not taken acquiescence of, and my interests not protected, I will........
Sigh! wot cannnnn i do? Nothing much (sigh sob)....

But I will defame this game on every forum I can....Junta take note....Cricket Murdabadddddd!!!
Lets shun cricket and -
Heal the world.....Make it a better place
For u and for me and the entire human race....
Amen!

Meta-Me....

Fingers
On sweaty palms
clenching nothingness,
marking in strange patterns
the damp skin that conceals what is within,
seemingly altering fate through lines that never were
or cutting into destiny and its marks on me and life and other such,
strain -
the me that you know
and the you that I don’t!

The SAC Thing!

However controversial its been, SAC's been a great experience!

I know I'm not over with it yet, but I had to blog abt it today coz somehow the day was rather mundane and boring without the SAC activity....and getting back to classes is like a little unsettling....

Same lessons learnt - some ppl rock, others suck....there're ways around every system....blah blah....but there's sumthing to the experience that makes it special, feel-good and fulfilling - I dont know what that is though....

Nonetheless, this post has been random to the hilt, I know; but then it was kinda necessary!

U - Ubiquitous!!

Cold - on a cold mountain,

Gold - after a golden handshake,

Mould - preceeding a wax statue

Hold - after holding on to a beautiful yet, withering relationship

Bold - before a bold dialogue

Fold - on the dinner table napkin after dinner

Sold - like the aggrieved seller of ancestral land

When the heart beats, you come alive

and grow on the vacuum of life -

lending colour, fragrance, intimacy, passion

and sometimes, those little saline droplets carving a visible trajectory on my melancholy face.

When eyes blink, you appear,

When nerves wrench, you manifest,

When the lungs breathe, you assume the unpreceedented form.

When words stop, you begin -

You to Me

Are

Omnipresent

Deceived!

I would've nodded if u'd said -

I need this thing, may I take it.

I would've shared what I had to if u'd said -

This is my strategy, is it good enough.

I would've empathised if u'd said -

I have no other idea to take forward, I need to use this.

I would've contributed if u'd said -

Do you wanna take a role in this event.

But when sun sets and I discover that you've taken it away

And I know that you know I dont know,

I'm compelled to sit, brood and reflect -

is it really right to repose trust in anybody - somebody?

I cant get myself to accept that the idea can be stolen by you -

You tell me - How can I ever wish you luck before tomorrow for tomorrow?

Inertia

To sit motionless
in the land
so seemingly unclutter-less
and crying like a bee
that got no honey to shed tears
whilst attempting to grow
into a bigger puzzle-
in the un-opaqe-ish mode-
you sigh, you try, get dry.
Being transparent can make you colourless!

Duvidha

So 5 months of MBA life's through!
N its very funny how sometimes I feel its been ages since I came here, and to the contrary, sometimes I wonder how quickly time's flown by. There is a great deal of learning, but it happens on its own....wotever you consciously try n learn never works though!
Each day is filled with its own challenges; on the one hand, you fight long hours sometimes and on the other, you try and over come mundaneness....there's a lil excitement, there's the enthu level, there're those pressure situations and those absolutely dull, crappy times that make your existence feel purposeless.....all this jointly and severally occur, recur and occur, recur again and again and again...
I kinda like wot i'm doing...i know its probably the best way to get the best and quickly too. But I often wonder - is it all worth it....at the end of the day, life's simple - you jus hafta enjoy wot you're doing/gonna be doing....money, power, strength, knowledge - everything kinda follows later....so there's this dilemma - why do we have such a complex environment out here....for example, what sense does it make to know about derivatives, corporate finance, consulting, audits, banking -
when all that we want is happiness - simple, basic, unadultrated, pristine!
(Note - thoughts put across as they came through the mind!)
